We have had Jr tested twice he is has food allergies. He is allergic to diary,wheat,bananas,beef and oats.

His appointment today with the new Allergist was great she listened and gave good advise and also actually sat on the floor and interacted with Jr.

He will still continue on his Alimentum Formula till he is 2 years old and then we will reevaluate at that time.

We are to introduce eggs and chicken at 18 months. She said to try 1 for 1 week and the following week the other to see if he can tolerate them.

I can't believe our little guy is One already. We love him so much I just wish DH was here to spend this day with us.

Well we spent a good part of this morning at the Urgent Care. Poor little guy has been running a fever since Christmas it had gone away last night but came back at around midnight. What we found out is he has a Right Ear Infection and a Virus. He also weighs 24 lbs and 9 ounces. I feel so bad for him getting his 1st Ear Infection on his 1st Birthday.

We had a small family day with Myself,DD and the Birthday Boy. DH even got to call from Iraq and webcam with us . He saw Jr open his presents and pick at his smash cake. He is allergic to diary that's why he just had a small cake. He didn't eat any of the cake but did taste the frosting a little.

Today for Kevin Jr's 9 month birthday. Me and Ashllie and Jr and our friend Wayne drove an hour to the Nelson Farm Pumpkin Festival to spend Jr's day out there.

We got there are 11 ish and stayed for about 3 hours. It was a fun time, We all went on a tractor pull through the corn and the pumpkins. We took tons of pictures, Jr saw some geese and rabbits and a 834 pound pumpkin. Ashllie swung on a swing in the hayloft inside the barn. Jr loved watching his big sister ride a horse for the 1st time. We all did a lot of walking looked at the different corn and had a nice time. The only thing missing was dh hopefully next Fall he will want to go with us when he comes home from the Sandbox.

9 month Dr's Appointment

Jr had his 9 month appointment today he weighs 23 lbs and 11 ozs and is 28 3/4 inches. Well that is what the nurse said but he wasnt as straight as he should so he might actually be 29 inches. The Dr check him and said that Jr's umbilical hernia is getting smaller and he just has a cold no ear infection which is Awesome. Our son is 2 days away from the 9 month mark and thanks to God he has never had an infection in his ears.

We also discussed his left arm and how it still pops and the Dr made a referral to the Child PT to see what we can do to strengthen his arm.

I also told him about spit up issues the last 2 weeks and he said that was normal at this age and that he should out grow it. I even mentioned the peaches and milk product issues again. I was told to keep Jr away from all milk products,peaches,oatmeal,eggs,peanut butter.

He said to continue with the Alimentum formula and the stage 1 and now stage 2 food I am giving him. He also said I can start giving jr meat that is really fine with his veggie. So I going to buy a couple Stage 2 baby food that has the beef with the veggie mixed.

I was also told we will discuss how Jr is at his 1 yr appointment and most likely he will have to go on Soy. An stay on formula longer then average.

As for his development the Dr said Jr is right were he should be, which is Great.Dr also said that Jr's eyes most likely will not be changing colors so we can officially say he has hazel eyes because if they were going to be brown they would have changed over by now and not have any blue in them

Jr's first time standing up all by himself

Tonight something really cool happened our baby boy stood up all by himself in his crib 2 times.

Little background .So yesterday I stood him up and placed his hands on the railing and he loved it. So tonight I was talking to my mom and I look over his way and he is starting to standup. But I missed taping it because my camera was off. So a couple hours later I see him about to do it again and this time I tape it but its kinda dark because in my bedroom there isn't much light but I got it on film regardless.

Jr started pushing himself to the sitting position it is soo very cute. I love the smile he gets when sits himself up its so very cute.

Our little guy turned 8 months old today. I can't believe only 4 more months and our baby will be a year old. I love watching him grow and turn into a little boy and not just a baby.

This week he has been sick with a cold with a runny nose and a cough. I feel so bad for him because with the cold and teething he is miserable and fussy. Hopefully he will get better soon.

I did take some pictures I just haven't uploaded them yet. Also my little guy starting sitting up by himself he averages about 5 to 6 mins now so that's a start. He loves smiling and showing mama his 8 teeth and he has started rocking back and forth on his hands and knees so crawling is coming really soon.

I do wish Dh could be here to watch all the firsts our baby is going through but he is in the Sandbox defending our Freedom and we are so proud of him .

Okay ready for something cool all of our baby's fussiness is paying off yes it is. Okay so on July 28th his right top tooth came in . Then August 3rd he got the one right next to the top right in and now when I looked a few minutes ago he has 2 more getting ready to break the surface so in the next day or 2 he will have 4 that's right 4 brand new top teeth.

7 Months already

I can't believe that our baby is 7 months old today. It seems like just yesterday he was born and now he is 5 months away from his 1st birthday.

Our little guy is doing so much. He babbles all the time and says mama,dada,and hi. He has 4 bottom teeth and working on the 2 top ones. He rolling back and forth and is starting to sit-up better but not quite there yet. He loves to eat his stage 1 solids and play with his toys and loves bath time and going for walks in his stroller.

He also misses his daddy its bitter sweet every month Jr gets older it's a month longer that Kevin has been gone.

Were do I start my little baby is growing up so fast. Everyday he tries something new. His new latest thing is rolling his tongue to make rolling r's it is so cute. I just love this little boy more and more each day.

He also has more hair coming in it's still a reddish blond color and those hazel eyes are still there as well.

His sleeping is going ok he usually goes down between 11 and 12:30 wish he would go to sleep earlier but since he is teething that is just not going to happen.

Not sure when the next tooth will make its appearance but it will be soon the way he is fussy and drooling and sucking on everything he can get his lips around which is usually his hands or forearm.

1st 4th of July

We went to my mil's cabin on Thursday 3 of July and we all went on a pontoon ride. Jr really enjoyed himself this time but then again he was awake the whole time. Then today July 4th we went to a few yard sales and finally bought a baby monitor. Also we spent the day with family and we barbecued.

It was a nice day Jr enjoyed swinging in the baby swing. Ashllie went on the speed boat and also swam a little and played with her cousins. The only thing missing was daddy. We sure do miss him but we are so proud of our solider.

Ok first of all for all that read this I'm truly sorry I haven't kept this up. Kevin Jr aka Bubba is growing everyday and this suck a good little baby.

He went to the Dr for his 6 month appointment on Monday the 23rd of June. He is now 20 lbs and 5 ounces and 27 3/4 inches tall and has a 17.4 inch head. He also received 3 shots and we were told that is growing wonderfully. Bubba still has red hair and hazel eyes he has a really blue ring around a sprinkle of brownish green. We just love his eye color.

He has been on solids now since June 9th we figured we would start on them since he was always smacking his lips when he saw us eating and he looked really interested in it. I know we should have waited till he turned six month but he was already 24 weeks when we started.

Jr loves his oatmeal,carrots,bananas,green beans,sweet potatoes and now squash that we have given him. He eats stage 1 foods and it's the right amount for him. Sometimes he will eat half the jar other times the full one.

So much is happening right now  Jr is loving the water when he takes a bath also he enjoys when I sing and read to him. He really loves when Ashllie or I make funny sounds and he really tries to laugh. He has laughed a few times and it sounds so cute.

Dr Visit

Today we took Jr to the Dr. He sleeped wrong the night before and got a stiff neck and had a muscle spasm so we took him to get checkout. Dr said he is fine except for having  a stopped up tear duct in his right eye and a slight infection so they gave him some eye drops. My baby has gain 1 pound since April 21st and has grown 1/2 inch since then as well.

Baptism

Wanted to share some of Jr's baptism pictures he turned 4 month on April 27th and was also baptized that day. Which happen to be my brother's 19th wedding anniversary. Jr worn his daddy's baptism outfit and had the ceremony at the same church. It turned out to be a nice day even though it was chilly and snowy.I also included a few photos of his party outfit. 4 month checkup

We had Kevin Jr's 4 month check up today. He is now 17lbs and 6ozs and 26in. He also had a couple of shots and we confirmed that he has an umbilical hernia. Dr wasn't to worried about it said that if he doesn't outgrow it that he will have the same surgery that dd had.

Jr still has a cold with congestion and a cough. The Dr said it just has to play its course. Also Jr now weighs 16lbs and 8ozs and is 25 3/4 long.

First Cold

Jr has his first cold. We took him to see the dr and he was given some eye drops called Tobramycin 0.3 % OP due to his cold travelled into his eyes. At his appointment he weighed 15 pounds and 14 ounces.

He is such a good baby and we are so in love with him

born-12-27-07 10 lbs and 3 ounces length 22 inches

I need to throw this in so people don't think my son hasn't grown much. At his 1 week dr appointment he measured 20 1/4 inches. We were told that the hospital and clinic measure differently. But for measurements to go by the dr's ones.

2 month appointment 2-29-08 9 weeks and 1 day

15 lbs and 3 ozs 23 1/2 inches 39 cm hc

93% for height

51% for length

31% for head circumference

Arrive at the hospital at 5:45 am on December 27  2007. They took registered me and took all my information and brought us up to the room. I got a few id bands on and they put my IV in. Then they had me change into a hospital gown and hook me up to the heartbeat machine and contraction machine. I was on that until about 7:15 or so. Then we just waited. Finally at 7:45-7:50 am they came in and wheeled me into the OR. Once there they got me ready on the bed and started the process for the Spinal. That took a few minutes to finally get it in and ready. It did take a bit for my body to go numb. they also shaved me to get me ready. Then they brought my husband in and once he was sitting next to me they started to proceed with the surgery. I felt a lot of the tugging and stretching but no pain also I had on a oxygen mask and started getting nauseated so they can me medicine for that. From there they just did what they need to do and at 8:38 am after cutting through my uterus they reached our baby boy. My Dr was shocked as to how big he was. He was with JR while they cleaned him up and weighed and measured him. Kevin also got to cut baby Kevin umbilical cord. JR weighed in at 10 pounds and 3 ounces 22 inches long , does have straight reddish looking hair.It was wonderful hearing our baby cry that it had me crying.
