Hurricane Dolly

So Dolly made her way through the Rio Grande Valley on July 23rd 2008 and Boy did she do some damage and lots of flooding over 200,000 of the Valley residents are without power.

My family has been without power since Wednesday and probably will not get it back until Friday or Saturday maybe even Sunday.
I feel bad for the people back home. Especially since Hurricane season isn't over until November.
I'm glad that Governor Perry already went to see the damage. That way they get the state funding sooner in The Valley .

In my life I have been through 2 Hurricanes and I'm just glad I no longer have to deal with them. I would rather have my cold weather and snow any day we get here.
Grant it here in the Midwest we get tornado's and blizzards but they are way different then hurricanes.

To All the folks back home I send my blessings and prayers that everyone is OK and that life gets back to normal soon. Love ya much RGV I may no longer live there but I will always be a Valley girl I love South Texas.

A Military Wife's Prayer Author Unknown

Give me greatness of heart to see,The difference between duty and his love for me.
Give me understanding so that I may know,When duty calls him, he must go.
Give me a task to do each day,To fill the time while he is away.
When he's in a foreign land,Keep him safe in your loving hand.
And Lord, when duty is in the field,Please protect him and be his shield.
And Lord, when deployment is so long,Please stay with me and keep me strong.
