Found Out what is Wrong

Went to the Doctor today and was told I have a sinus infection and a left ear infection as well as my chest is tight. So I was given 3 medicines and told I should start to feel better in a few days.

I sure hope so because it's hard being miserable and sick when you are a mom.

Still sick

I'm still miserable so calling the Dr in the morning to make an appointment, hopefully they have an opening. Because between this and the ongoing toothache that won't be fixed until March 7,2011  I feel like poop.

Sick again

I hate being sick during the winter time especially since it messes with my asthma. Hopefully I will be better before Monday if not I guess I will be calling the Doctor,

Mom

Not much to talk about today just another day in the life of being a mom and wife.

Having 2 special needs kids is rewarding and challenging but no matter what I love my children.

Today was a long day and I'm glad it's over with.

Project Life

Finally took my Project Kit out of the box and assembled it. I think I going to use it for 2008 -2009 pictures.

Snowing Again

We had a lot of snow melt during the week and after today you can't even tell any ever melted. I can't wait till it's Spring time I am starting to miss seeing the green grass and leaves on the trees.

Good News!

Junior had his sedation hearing tests yesterday  it took 2 doses of Chloral Hydrate before he drifted off into Dream Land. 


They performed 2 different tests the Auditory Brainstem Response and the Oto-Acoustic Emission.


Thanks to God we where told that our little boy doesn't need hearing aids and has good hearing!!! 


It took 25 mins to get Junior to wake up out of the sedation sleep  so he could be released from the Dr. then he went back to sleep at 3:30 and woke up at 7:30pm.


We feel so blessed to know that his hearing is good. Now to figure out why he still isn't talking much, he babbles all the time in a loud voice and he does talk some and know's quite a few words but he doesn't always use them. He has finally started saying Please and Thank You without being prompted too. I know he has Sensory Disorder but when I ask what else is happening with him I'll told we don't know other then Delayed Development. We were told before he isn't autistic but somedays I wonder if the doctors were wrong. I guess I will just have to keep making sure he continues with the help he is already getting and find out if there is anything else we can do for our son.

Still Shaken and Yet So THANKFUL Tonight!

I don't even now how to put this into words. I'm still shaken about what happened this afternoon and what may of happened to our family today. Around 3:00 pm my hubby Kevin went on the roof of the garage to get the Snow off the house. About 15 minutes later I hear him screaming MELISSA call 911 call 911 NOW!!! First thing that came to my mind was he must of fallen off the roof which would have been bad in itself but it turned out it was worse.

My husband  accidentally hit the GAS Line or in Our case Propane Line to our House. Kevin the children and I went to the Catholic Church until Help arrived. The Rescue Squad came they turned off the Propane and told us they would have to get a couple parts and come back and fix the line. Which they did and we were able to go back inside the house and resume our normal routine. I'm still scared of the What If's I could have lost my husband today :( our house could have Exploded with us in it. Thanks to The Good Lord Above he saved my FAMILY and Protected Us.

I ask anybody reading this too PLEASE be Careful around GAS Lines,Propane Lines,Electric Lines because you never know when something Like this will Happen.

Splish Splash

I love that Junior is loving taking a bath again. For a while from November to January he would freak out when I put him in the tub and cry until he was done. So I'm happy this phase only lasted a few months.

Now for the last 2 weeks he has started loving the water again and tonight when he was in the tub he was slapping at it and dropping his toys and splashing. He was happy as can be which makes mama happy.

Melting

The snow in our yard is melting away and by the weekend more than 40% of it will be gone. I'm so looking forward to Spring time I love Winter but after having frozen pipes 3 times this Winter I so ready for 50 degree weather.

3 Years Ago

On February 8,2009 I attend the 51st Grammy Award's it was a surreal moment.  Every year since when the Grammy Award's are televised it just brings back great memories. Thank You to my hubby for winning this Awesome contest and for Best Buy for allowing me to attend as a Guest since my hubby had to forfeit his title of Winner since he was Deployed to Iraq during that time.

Dance Sign

I bought the plaque yesterday at Crafts Direct and used the Shall We Dance Cartridge.


Made this for Ashllie tonight using Bright Pink Silhouette Vinyl. Dance is cut at 3 inches.

New Phone

I bought my New iPhone today and I'm already loving it! It's such a great phone and I love that it's finally available with Verizon since their 3G service works great in the Boonies.

Surgery Information

We drove to the University of Minnesota for Ashllie consult with the ENT specialist/surgeon.

Brr It's Cold In Here!

Woke up to our Furnace not working and 58 degrees inside and -15 with a WC of  -38 outside.
Called around to ask what might be wrong since the furnace is 2 year old and it was kicking on. Well after 2 hours Kevin was told to go outside and make sure none of the piping was froze. We it was so Kevin cleared it off and about 15 to 30 minutes later the warm air started flowing into our home again.

I was so Happy when we got heat again because when Kevin was deployed the kids and I went 4 days without a working furnace in December and it's sucked royally. That and heat is so important in Minnesota this time of the year.

Toothache

I don't like toothaches :( I'm in so much pain. I currently have a chip in a tooth that hurts like no tomorrow.

I'm praying I can get an appointment soon. Hopefully the local dentist in the next town over has an opening.

I can tolerate my Fibro pain,my shoulder and carpal tunnel but I can't for the life of me deal with toothache pain.

My 39th Birthday!

Today began the final chapter of my 30's in 365 days I will be the BIG 40. I look forward to see what this year will bring. Thank You Lord for all the ups and downs these last 39 years. And for blessing me with a Loving Family! 


I feel so blessed to have so many friends and family on facebook. I appreciate all the Birthday Wishes I received today :-) All their posts brought a huge smile to my face. I had a nice 39th birthday with my family and enjoyed watching the Super Bowl game. I even watched Glee for the first time and loved the Thriller performance.

Girl Scout Cookies

Ashllie had her monthly Girl Scout meeting today.

Which also included picking up the 178 boxes of cookies we ordered for her to sell,currently they are sitting in the kitchen waiting for Ashllie and Kevin to go out and sell,sell,sell.

Warmer Temps

Today was a nice day the temperature got up to 34 degrees. I was able to wear shorts and a tee shirt outside without a jacket. That and I was able to take a few pictures of the snow we have in the yard and of the swing that is backyard that is buried in the snow, I love when the temps warm up if only for a few days in the winter time.

Surgery

Junior went to school today and did good with his physical therapy.

He also went to see the ENT today he was scheduled for a Tonsillectomy at the end of March. Doctor said Junior has enlarged Tonsils and that he wants to do the surgery next month. 

Weather Back Home in South Texas

Lord Jesus, Please watch over my Family and Friends and Everyone in the Rio Grand Valley of South Texas! 
Please keep them warm and safe! They are not use to this weather and it's really hard for them. 
This weather is devastating to the farmers and workers in the fields,please watch over the crops. AMEN!!

Audiology

Junior had a Audiology appointment today.

 He wasn't able to get the proper test because Junior was babbling too much and wouldn't sit still.
Also he freaked out when the door was closed to the sound booth,even though I was with him he was scared. Junior has sensory disorders and certain things freak him out.

We were told by the Audiologist that in order to check Junior's hearing and make sure he isn't
 hearing impaired that we will need to make an appointment with his ENT and schedule a sedation hearing test.

 That way they can make sure he is OK , especially since Junior is 3 years old and is talking at about a 18 month old level and has a older sister that is hearing impaired.
